He has introduced a bunch of fresh talents including music composer Micky J Meyer, who composed tunes for the original, to Kollywod. Supposedly a youthful musical entertainer, check out how the songs are:

It is a simple but soft number wthat sticks to our heart immediately. It speaks about 'generation gap'. The chorus and the beats add pep to the song. There is a vibrant energy that runs all through. A good beginning to the album. Micky has crooned the song himself in the company of some fresh voices.

The music composer seems to have retained the track ‘Oh My friend...’ from 'Happy Days'. A soothing number, it starts like a pop music, but immediately follows a classical music style. Kudos to Mickey for a giving a catchy song.

Kalyani sings this stunning number that is catchy and soul-soothing too. Her voice suits the lyrics. The lyrics are the hallmark of this song, which is accompanied by best rhythm and orchestration. Simple, yet attractive tune it is.
Kodi Kanavu Kannil   Listen here
Artist(s): Naresh Iyer
Lyricist: Vairamuthu
It begins with piano and followed by guitars. Naresh Iyer’s voice is apt for the tune which has enough beats. Mickey spells magic thanks to his tune. In other words, the music composer has understood well the taste and preference of youngsters and it is evident in the tune.
Kalloori Thayah   Listen here
Artist(s): Mickey J Meyer
Lyricist: Vairamuthu
Perhaps the song of the album. It equates college to mother. More like 'Mustafa Mustafa...' in 'Kadhal Desam', it has rhythmic beat that reflects the camaraderie shared in a college. The bests of the song are its uniform beats and catchy vocals. All said, it is a great work by Micky J Meyer.
To sum it up, the album is bubbly and youthful. It oozes with energy and gusto. A bubbly musical that would lure youngsters.
